It all started in Brooklyn New York, the year was 1983. The parents of a young child who had an interest in the art of DJing brought him two turntables and a mixer. From that day on he began his quest to collect records of all kinds and practiced to become the best DJ he could be and was named DJ Music Rocka.

During his training period he was influenced by some of the best DJs of that time which in his eyes were the following. DJs Jazzy Jeff, Theodore, Afrika Bambatta, Kool Hurc, GrandMaster Flash,Charlie Chase, Toni Tone, DST, Wiz Kid, Larry Levan, Timmy Regisford, Louie Vega, Marley Marl and Red Alert. As well as other DJs that were making a name for them selves at the time such as Clark Kent, Scratch, Cash Money, Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, Brucie Bee, Ron G, S&S and Wichdoctor to name a few.

He was named DJ Music Rocka due to the way he was able to Rock parties by mixing music of many different genres with such smooth skill, that people at the parties would not even know when he switched to a different style of music.

DJ Music Rocka, with his many years of experience, maybe the most underrated DJ from N.Y. if not the entire country. He has played at more parties, than many DJs with bigger names, have in their whole careers. Besides playing for numerous weddings, proms, house parties, and big clubs for promoters, for many years he held down residencies for many Lounge Party Spots throughout New York, and Long Island. Some of his other accomplishments include DJing on major radio station shows in N.Y. such as the Wendy Williams Show on WBLS 107.5FM as well as The Legendary Marley Marl Future Flavas Show on Power 105.1FM. He has also hit the road and was a show DJ for rap group Pitch Black and R&B superstar and Grammy Winner Mya, and is the asst. program director for FleetDJRadio on FleetDJs.com, just to name a few things under his belt.

At the present DJ Music Rocka continues to please music lovers with his weekly show "The Music Matters Mixshow" on FleetDjs.com Mon-Fri 6-7pm Est. and DJs for crowds at least 3 nights a week with his marathon sets from 4 to 6 hours a night, so look out for him at a spot near you.
